Signs of Gum Disease

  • red, swollen gums
  • bleeding when brushing or flossing

  • persistent bad breath

  • loose teeth

Gum disease may be a risk factor for a number of serious health conditions such a heart disease and stroke, pneumonia and other repiratory diseases, diabetes and premature or low birth weight babies.

Our highly qualified dental hygienists provide each patient with a customized treatment plan/homecare plan/recare schedule to control and stabilize the severity of their disease. At each appointment the patients gums will be assessed and through scaling and root planing they remove bacteria and infection from the unhealthy pockets around the teeth and below the gumline.

In situations where our hygienists cannot get your condition stabilized periodontal lazer therapy will be recommended. This is a therapy that kills bacteria and sterilizes the gum pocket without a scalpel or stiches- a no cut- no sew approach.
